Introducing our new line of ceramic spongeware, The Gable Collection. Handmade in Vietri sul Mare, Italy and inspired by the classic American stoneware designs of the 20th century, The Gable Collection is durable enough for everyday use and handsome enough to adorn the walls of a French country house. A staple of country design, the simple sponge printing technique was popularized in the late 19th century, and production was concentrated in places like Zanesville, Ohio and Trenton, New Jersey. The full collection includes dinner and side plates, a salad bowl and serving platter, and a jug and mugs.
